Access to the Tribunal
The Tribunal is committed to providing access to its services to parties throughout New South Wales.
If you or your witnesses have any special needs please contact the Tribunal prior to the hearing. We aim to make any adjustments that may reasonably be required to accommodate these needs.
Access to John Maddison Tower and parking
The entrance to the John Maddison Tower is on Goulburn Street. The entrance is wheelchair accessible.
The lifts in the John Maddison Tower have oral announcements indicating the floors.
Although there is no actual car parking space for persons with a disability, the John Maddison Tower is directly opposite the City of Sydney run car parking station. For more information click here.
Accessible Toilets
Accessible toilets are located on Level 10 of the John Maddison Tower and the ground floor.
Telephone Typewriter (TTY)
The ADT has a TTY (telephone typewriter). The telephone number of the TTY is 02 9377 5859.
Infra-Red Listening System (Hearing Loop)
The ADT has an Infra-Red assistive hearing devices. If you require a hearing device, please contact the registry.
Auslan Interpreters
Auslan interpreters can be provided at the request of parties.
Provision of documents
If you have a vision impairment, written documents can be provided in alternative formats.
Layout of Tribunal Rooms
The client waiting area and tribunal rooms have been designed to optimise accessibility.
Corridors passages and waiting areas are kept free of obstacles. The seating in the client waiting area has been configured to optimise wheelchair accessibility and to ensure ease of access for people who are vision impaired.

Regional services
The Tribunal deals with matters involving parties outside the Sydney CBD in a variety of ways. These include:
- telephone conferencing
- video conferencing
- arranging sittings in country locations; and
- deciding matters on the papers without the need for either party to attend a formal hearing.
Information Strategy
The Tribunal’s Information Strategy sets out the different ways in which the Tribunal seeks to provide users, and other interested persons, with information about the Tribunal’s operations.
The Tribunal welcomes feedback on this strategy to assist in improving users access to information.
